The first few chapters of Covert Assassin take place in London. If you haven’t been there, you must go. It’s a lovely place, especially when it’s not raining. If you enjoy walks as much as I do, don’t miss the South Bank stroll for magnificent views of the Big Ben, Palace of Westminster and Tower Bridge, which features prominently on the cover of the Covert Assassin.

The story then moves to Iraq, as Justin and his team cross the Jordan-Iraqi border. While extremely dangerous–please don’t try this on your own, or even with friends!–it is a beautiful ride. Very serene, especially at night, if you can ignore the sizzling feeling at the pit of your stomach that you might fall into an ambush at any moment … In any case, this picture below shows the Trebil border crossing. 
An important plot point of Covert Assassin involves the Russian president’s state-of-the-art, Russian-made Kortezh limousine. When I wrote the book, the vehicle was still under production and not out yet. Since then, Mr. Putin rode in his brand new Kortezh at his inauguration ceremony less than two weeks ago.
